Dedicated to an ever expanding role for the people in participating in political decision-making processes
I came across this website by accident, joined because I saw that Direct Democracy was part of the name (and it wasn't followed by any words of attack or disparagement of the concept), but I didn't really have time to explore the website that day. I've been interested in direct democracy for a while, and have recently started trying to put more effort into making it a reality, or at least bringing about some changes that will lead us in that direction. So, I was excited to come across another site that I thought would be dedicated to the same thing. But as I look at much of what I see posted here, I see almost exclusively stuff in direct support of the Democratic Party. While I definitely think that in the American political sphere, the Democratic Party is the less obnoxious of the two parties that have wrested a stranglehold on our political system, they represent a politics that is a long way from direct democracy.
